Garden of Lights is an outdoor walk-through light exhibit on a half-mile paved trail featuring secular displays of flowers, plants, insects, animals, and other characters. The light display is open during rain, snow, and clear weather. Pedestrians can use either the entrance at 1800 Glenallan Avenue or the entrance via the path at 2000 Shorefield Road near the Wheaton Regional Park playground. You must have purchased tickets in advance online for every person five years of age and older in your group. Once you have a schedule, make sure that your buying team is pre-registered for all the shows you will be attending. One person can usually register for the whole group.
It’s amazing to watch the tiny handmade pieces come together to make something like a Christmas Pyramid or a tiny wooden smoker and the craftsmanship and detail are amazing. Each year, we go out to Germany to find new crafts and suppliers and many of the products on our stalls are hand-produced by local craftsmen, whom we’ve met personally. We once visited a town in the Erzgebirge region called Seiffen. It’s a tiny town where Christmas isn’t a one-day affair but carries on all year! All of the craftsmen we met, work in garden workshops handed down from generation to generation.
All aboard at our station platform, where you begin your magical ride through the reindeer forest! You may even be lucky enough to see Santa’s reindeer resting before they take flight on Christmas Eve. We are delighted to announce that Tuincentrum kerstshow, train ride and Santa visit opens on 11th November 2022. The new displays were handcrafted by Montgomery Parks staff. Visitors arriving by ride share must use the entrance at 1800 Glenallan Avenue.
You can proceed directly to check-in and we will get you started. We’re proud to offer this event year after year and to be part of your family memories. The Royal Horticultural Society is the UK’s leading gardening charity. We aim to enrich everyone’s life through plants, and make the UK a greener and more beautiful place. Starting around Thanksgiving, we offer handmade winter planters plus an array of fresh-cut greens to make your own arrangements. Get your home looking, feeling, and smelling like Christmas with fresh, berry-dappled greens, pine roping, pinecone pendants, and more.
Please print a hard copy of your digital tickets to bring with you to the event. Do your research, create a game plan, work the vendors, source unique items and oh yeah, be ready to work from morning to night. Follow the aforementioned steps and you can guarantee yourself a successful, profitable buying excursion. We also have another chance to reiterate the importance of each buyer remaining within their budgeting parameters. Communica-tion during a buying trip, as in any relationship, is absolutely a necessity. The group remaining on the same page with the same purchasing goals is vital.
We normally only cancel in case of consistent rain, strong winds, or snow and ice. We recommend that you dress warmly for the weather so that you can enjoy the lights for as long as you’d like. If tickets were sold out online, please select another night to attend Christmas at Colonial. If they are still available, we recommend you purchase them ahead of time.
